A Call from the Ossuary Society - September 2026

Out Of Character Transparency

The Corrupted Morgue scenario will run across the road. Based on the information given to us by players’ preparations, Dive times have been divided into three run blocks spaced throughout Saturday (11:00am, 3:00pm, and 7:00pm), with the assumption that they would last 4-5 dives each.

  • Should PCs still have supplies and manpower for further runs and have not successfully finished installing the Helscape Catastrophic Stabilizer at the end of the third block, they may be permitted to continue trying (within reason, respect, and at gamerunner discretion). While it would be cool to chainsmoke our runs into a single long session scenario, we would like to be kind to our NPCs and PCs alike.

  • Players are permitted to travel without a guide to and from the dive staging area during the blocks. Please do not enter the field or picnic area without permission to do so.

  • A secondary Artisan zone will be opened at the staging area to allow for repair work.

  • Each dive is limited to 1-6 people. A solo diver is not recommended, but it is allowed.

  • Once within the casket airlock, the decision has been made. A PC cannot exit the scenario except through mechanical means. Items and personnel cannot be swapped out for anything/anyone outside the airlock. If a player has entered a casket and then makes the OOG choice they no longer wish to participate they are not required to continue and may bow out but that dive will remain down one person. Substitutes may be allowed in an instance that a player becomes unable to participate for reasons of health and safety.

  • Players have a 5 minute time limit within the dive module space, starting from the time any of them leave the airlock and enter the chambers.

  • After 5 minutes within the Corrupted Morgue space, anyone who has not returned to the airlock area must remain for 1 minute to fight for their life before being ejected, receiving 1 Fracture and losing one Resolve (or Infection if all Resolve is expended).

  • Time during dives will be officially kept and called out by a Guide.

  • CONTENT WARNING: Splash module elements within the first chamber. They are opt-in on an individual level.

It seems that everything has been prepared to tackle the Morgue’s corruption head-on. We cannot afford to wait any longer, as the mutation and disease has reached a tipping point and the environment around Steel Horse Crossing will forever be changed even if we are successful in subduing this blight from the Mortis. The enablers of local infection farmers, experiments of the fugitive Full Dead, excesses of bad brain, and countless crises of years past have ensured that the Morgue cannot be left to heal on its own anymore. The small cracks and scars left behind were quietly festering underneath it all, each compounding over the last. We must now go in and fight to hold the problem in check ourselves to ensure the stable continuation of this settlement. Failure may mean many deaths and the potential to render the area barely habitable until it subsides or it is safe enough to continue the work.

This is a final call for assistance from any and all who are willing to travel North to help Steel Horse Crossing. It is in the interest of all who value safety and stability in the Midwastes to subdue this corruption before it boils over. We have little to offer except the gratitude of the Ossuary Society, the Helldivers, and those who make their home here.
