Societies of Steel Horse Crossing
Per the Rulebook, a group of characters may choose to form a Society. Many Societies do different things, but the common bond among them all is a pursuit of a goal greater than the individuals. To be recognized as a Society, a group of players should submit an Action Request with an outline of their proposed Society both In Character and Out of Character: how a Character may join, how the Society’s leadership will function, and what goals the Society wishes to pursue are all important considerations to take into account. Society membership should be open to any character if their player wishes to pursue that particular style of roleplay. While we do not require a specific number of characters in order to become established, proposed Societies should contain a significant number of individuals who are interested.
Locally Recognized Societies may choose to open an account with the First Bank of Steel Horse Crossing. These accounts are only good for local currency, as the Bank does not deal in non-monetary items. Any member of a Society may deposit into their Society’s account, but withdrawals or account transfers (such as to NPCs or NPC Factions) require at least two members of that Society to approve. Any member of the Society may review their account ledger to verify their respective balance. Withdrawal requests of more than 20 Lug per event may be held for a period of one Event, at the discretion of the Public Works. Variations from these mechanics will be notated in the Society description below; for instance, a Society may wish to have 3 members approve withdrawal requests instead of the default 2.
